Panelist Registration is now open for Anime North and Yaoi North. You can register (for both/either) at http://www.yaoinorth.com/reg/ . If registering for Yaoi North, please note that you must check the appropriate box, which will cause a second form to show up with the YN specific registration information. There are links on the forms to the appropriate forum thread discussing panel ideas or you can write in your own ideas in the panel boxes on the form. For those of you unfamiliar with the convention, Anime North is the fourth largest anime convention in North America with around 13,500 attendees last year. This year the convention will be running May 23-25, 2008 in Toronto, Ontario. Yaoi North is a subsection of Anime North of which I'm the main organizer of. Last year we filled two rooms of the Renaissance for the entire weekend. (That's forty-eight hours of yaoi, times two!) Also, the Queer Magic anthology, in which I have a story, is up for pre-order now. | | Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007 | | 12:29 pm |

And fans around the world despair as Robert Jordan, author of the Wheel of Time series, passed on today at 2pm, leaving his epic series unfinished. If you would like to read his brother's post, go to Robert Jordan's official blog. The site's experiencing some technical difficulties due to massive amounts of traffic. I never got around to reading the most recent book, since I was planning to read it with the last but... I'm waiting anxiously what will happen to the end of the story, since I know he was trying his hardest to finish it. | | Thursday, August 9th, 2007 | | 12:02 am |
Yet More Fic Look ma, no porn! ...Sad but true. The prompt I got in apocalyptothon was requested as gen and that's what they got. And the Waves Taketh - Pirates of the Carribean Gen fic. It's rather short, mostly because I was a bit at a loss what to do without teh sexorz... Or just brain not working. One of the two. |
